The club has indicated that this partnership is poised to facilitate the exploration of development prospects for the site, and with Sobha's involvement now in full swing, these prospects are being initiated. However, since that transaction, six other clubs have outpaced Arsenal.

In August 2025, Manchester United allocated 50 million pounds for the renovation of Carrington, enhancing the gym and recovery areas, nutrition amenities, altitude training rooms, sleep pods, and dry floatation recovery systems. Chelsea is currently considering further facility improvements, while Liverpool's AXA facility, which was inaugurated six years ago, continues to uphold cutting-edge standards. At the time, it was hailed as one of the most cutting-edge football venues in the UK, a paragon of contemporary stadium design. Since then, rival teams have constructed or reconstructed their stadiums, offering increasingly sophisticated amenities, entertainment, retail experiences, and services on non-matchdays. The North London rival Tottenham Hotspur, in particular, has been at the forefront of this trend.
